I have specialized training in Clinical Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Psychological Treatment, Psychological Trauma, Child Mental Health, Parenting, Child and Family Issues, Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders, and many other areas of psychology. I am a Designated Mental Health Specialist and Child Mental Health Specialist by the State of Washington. I have extensive experience in Clinical Psychology practice ranging from inpatient hospital treatment of acute mental illness and in outpatient treatment ranging from work with severe clinical and personality disorders, to work with adjustment to life stressors in highly functioning adults, children and families.

I provide forensic psychological evaluations and expert opinion, as well as litigation support and consultation for a broad range of criminal, civil and family law applications. Specialty areas include evaluation for psychological damages in civil litigation, CR-35 examinations, parenting evaluation in custody litigation, relocation, and child protective matters and the standard of practice in these evaluations, as well as King County Title 26 Family Law Guardian ad Litem services. I conduct examinations of criminal competencies including Miranda competency, competency to stand trial, competency to confess and civil competencies such as testamentary capacity. I conduct examinations of mitigation prior to sentencing for adults and juveniles, transfer evaluations of juveniles and juvenile rehabilitation evaluations, and evaluations for Mitigation in Capitol Sentencing.

I have specialized training and experience in the treatment of acute traumatic stress and post-traumatic stress disorder. I developed an emergency response team that was designed to provide services in the community to small and large events after disaster and traumatic events. I have provided hundreds of hours of psychological trauma services to schools, major airlines, and banks, and presented to national organizations on acute traumatic stress and its treatment. He has specialty experience in child and adult trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder assessment and treatment.
