For more than 38 years we continue to offer sensible, sensitive and caring help for adult problems of living, including managing problems of thinking, feeling, mood and behavior, improving relationships at home and work, helping clients discover their purpose and direction, and better manage life's transitions and increasing stressors. Our aim is to help you to better relationships and a better life. COUPLES: We are especially skilled in and love the work of healing relationship problems. Our own wonderful marriage of 38 years is our inspiration and grounds our work in solid reality. This, along with years of training with top relationship experts, provides for our successful approach. GROUPS: As experts in human relationships we also offer intellectually and emotionally stimulating co-ed personal development groups. Our groups provide a very rich and safe environment for creating community, authenticity, connection and interpersonal learning, aimed at creating a fulfilling and meaningful life. Benefits may include: Overcoming low self-esteem, Establishing your appropriate boundaries, Forming a clear and confident identity, Living your deepest values and principles, Learning excellent communication skills, Alleviating social anxiety; Resolving self-defeating behaviors and Managing your moods. Please call for a free interview. INDIVIDUALS: The above goals can be part of individual work for those unable to fit the group's time schedule or needing more individual focus.
We have been working in the arena of personal development since 1980 and have continued to grow our skills as human problems solvers. We can help with a wide range of client problems. What sets us apart, beyond our extensive experience and medical knowledge base, is our in-depth, 54-page assessment process, which saves clients considerable time and money. It includes questionnaires on Goals for Counseling, a Health Questionnaire, a Life History Questionnaire, the Schema Inventories, and the assessment of Temperament and Basic Motivations. The Schema Inventories are especially important because they reveal self defeating patterns which everyone has to some degree, including therapists! This assessment helps answer the important questions: What is changeable and what is not, and therefore will ultimately need to be accepted? As one client shared: "I learned more about myself in this first session than I did in my previous year of therapy!"
Because of our extensive training in multiple forms of therapy and decades of experience, we tailor our approach to your needs. We offer evening hours, and long distance sessions via Skype, Zoom or FaceTime if you or we are out of town. We work in our warm, comfortable, very private home offices, where your confidentiality is assured. Let's talk!
