CE DREAM WORKSHOP, Oct 6-8, Port Townsend 11 & 17 CE /MSW, MFT & MHC therapists (through WMHCA): Oct 7, Saturday morn, 9:30 AM - Oct 8, Sunday, 1:30 PM (11 CE hours) Oct 6, Friday aft, 1 PM - Oct 8, Sunday, 1:30 PM (17 CE hours) FEES: Income Based Scale $60-230 for 11 CEs $60-355, 17 CEs Note: Room & board, not included / make reservations early CONTACT: Janette, CounselingNW.Janette@gmail.com / Subject Line: CE Dream Workshop '17 WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this experiential workshop is giving the clinician basic skills in facilitating work with dreams, recognizing when it is appropriate, and experiencing dream work with a group of professional peers. Through a structured process, we will explore our own dream stories; participants will consider shared meaning in the metaphors & any implications for waking life. Theoretical sources include Alfred Adler, Karen Horney and Fritz Perls, all of whom emphasized the importance of the practical application of dreams. Intuitive work builds self-reliance & enthusiasm to participate. Especially effective with: • depression • creative problem resolution • resilience

 

Instructors/ Speakers:

Janette worked for 15 years as a non-profit clinician for Greater Seattle YMCA, Ruth Dykeman Center and Ryther Child Center's addiction treatment program. She developed classes and in-service trainings for government, private business, & colleges/universities. Trained in family systems through a professional internship with Dr. Ramone Corrales from '76 to '78, she was 1st licensed in 1979. Now a sole proprietor, Janette offered Evidence Based family therapy (Seattle - King County), supervised master’s level psychology interns and was named in Who’s Who for contribution to the field of Counseling & Education. She currently affiliates with the American Counseling Association's international division for family therapists, IAMFT. Other Continuing Education Experience .
