For over 25 years, my passion has been working with children, teens and families in a variety of settings including residental, foster and adoptive care, in family homes and community. My overall framework for therapy is a family systems approach. I also use a cognitive behavioral approach, techniques from art therapy, and play therapy from a humanistic and strengths-oriented approach that are client-centered and tailored to the unique needs of the individual, or family. Issues that are commonly addressed are depression, sadness, worry, anxiety, panic disorders, life transitions, stress management, anger, grief and loss as well as parenting skills, troubled teens, and childhood trauma. My office is located in downtown Arlington.
