My therapeutic approach is humanistic-existential, which means that I believe that when a person is born, they have everything they need in order to become a perfect one of them, if given the right conditions. However, for many many reasons, we don't get the ideal conditions in which to develop as we could.

I have been told many times that my counseling style combines my intelligence, intuitive sense, gentle-ness and "real-ness" in a way that engenders trust and produces results. I am non-judgemental and able to adapt my approach to any type of person and any type of need. I work well with all genders, and people from any type of background. I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma in their lives, but also work well with people who are going through a life transition or just feel disconnected from their self or from life.

I am also trained as a clinical hypnotherapist, and can use this as part of my therapeutic tools. I have focused recent learning on trauma-based therapy, specifically the approach taught by Bessel van der Kulk.
