I am a faculty Counselor Educator at Antioch University Seattle where I teach in the MA programs (CMHC, CFT). I am also in private practice one day/week where I work with adults and couples and provide supervision toward licensure for licensed Associates, both Clinical and Marriage and Family Therapy. I am an Approved Supervisor in Washington State to provide all of the supervision hours required for LMHC licensure, and 100 of the required 200 hours of supervision for LMFT licensure. In addition I am in my final year of a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Oregon State University where I specialize in studying Intimate Partner Violence and Technology Assisted Services. As such, I provide supervision in both face-to-face format and in HIPAA compliant distance format.

My supervisory approach is both developmental and situation-specific. The two frameworks I use are the Integrative Developmental Model (Stoltenberg, 1998), which assumes clinicians move through and between stages of development, and the Discrimination Model (Bernard, 1979), which identifies different types of therapist-supervision connection needed for various stages in the supervision process. What this means to you is that as we work together, I will simultaneously strive to support both your immediate needs in supervision while also tracking and supporting your overall growth as you move toward full independent licensure.
