Counseling West Seattle has an opening for a fully Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Social Worker for 2 or three days a week on the weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday are preferred days and Sunday is optional. We need a child specialist with knowledge and expertise in young children through adolescence. We want a practioner who is caring and dependeable with excellent patient care. Counseling West Seattle has five practioners at this time who work Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. There are two offices with a wait area and restroom. We are a comprehensive mental health counseling practice serving adults, chidren and adolescents, couples and families. Counseling West Seattle is well known in the West Seattle area with a steady stream of referrals that keeps the clinic busy. As part of our team a clinician will join our client centered and service centered environment. This is an independent contract position with consultation and supervision as part of the position. The office, supplies, referrals, billing and administrative support are part of the position.

Minimun requirements are: fully licensed in the state of Washington either LMHC or LMSW with prior expertise in child and adolescent counseling.The experience may be through an agency as a Master's clinician or private practice. The experience could also be through prior employment as a counselor or teacher in a Bachelor's position and/or internship with child and family counseling background. Working in this capacity the therapist needs to be independent enough to carry a caseload of children and adolescence and be willing to see adults in addition. Parenting is very often part of child therapy and treatment.
