Affordable Clinical Supervision in the South Sound by UW SSW Alums Annie Jenson, LICSW and Kara Rice, LICSW. Annie and Kara have extensive combined experience in medical social work in a primary care, specialty, urgent care, emergency, and hospital setting, mental health, behavioral health integration, supervision, child welfare, adoptions, chemical dependency, gerontology, and the private non-profit sector. Group supervision is starting in October and will be held the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am – 1 pm. Group size will consist of 6-12 supervisees and two supervisors. Individual supervision will be provided in 1 hour increments unless otherwise arranged with the supervisor, and can be provided face-to-face, telephonically or by Skype based on participant need.

We are committed to providing quality and affordable individual and group clinical supervision for our colleagues who live in the South Puget Sound area including Pierce and Thurston counties. Our goal is to prepare clinical social workers with the tools and insight that will help them succeed in a variety of clinical settings. We utilize a reflective clinical supervision process, in addition to reviewing the DSM, theory and preparing licensure candidates to pass the exam. Our approach to supervision is a collaborative process, and we value, honor, and respect what each individual brings to the relationship. We tailor our supervision to meet the needs of the group or individual being supervised, and seek regular feedback to ensure their needs and goals of supervision are being met.
