After 17 years in the field, 13 of those in hospitals, I have gone into private practice to expand availability of services to those with limited access and to provide support to professionals seeking licensure. My private practice is primarily brief solution-focused, trauma informed, CBT/DBT relying on the use of Motivational Interviewing. Over the years I have worked in every hospital department, including emergency services, addressing grief and loss, abuse and neglect, illness and disability, severe mental illness, addiction and recovery and transitions in life. I thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment, coordinating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and community providers. I have been known for my upbeat attitude, competence, integrity and compassion.
ONLINE SUPERVISION. As with clients, it is important to meet any professional supervisee "where they are", evaluating current knowledge and skills then developing a collaborative plan to ensure the highest quality of service delivery to your clients. I do require that your workplace be willing to establish a Business Affiliate Agreement, so that I can review your documentation for accurate evaluation and feedback, but I do believe that you are the expert on your process and supervision will be learner-led. My emphasis is on ethics and quality. I value your commitment to the discipline and honor your experience with clients and I want to support you as you find balance in the stresses of the job and further strengthen an integrated, evidence-based practice that will survive the years.
