The word psychotherapy is derived from the greek words psyche, which means spirit or soul and therapon, which means faithful attendant. I view our work together as the faithful attendance to your soul or spirit.

The main method is paying attention to your sensations, emotions, dreams and imagination. These are the bridge to your unconscious psyche. And they generate symbols which are your soul's way of communicating with you.

When I work with couples I imagine that your choice of partner is made not only by you but also by your soul. The difficulties you encounter there will be dealt with as symbolic. I imagine relationship as a possible path to your own spiritual growth.

The unconscious speaks in images; visual, aural, kinesthetic, etc. So, attending to creative expression is therapy. Art is therapy. Therapy is art. And we may work with these possibilities.
