Amber Wade, LICSW, CFS is an approved WA license supervisor. 13 years of social work experience with expertise in palliative/hospice, hospital social work, child welfare, justice system, macro practice, community organizing, non-profit management, and financial capability counseling. I use an integrated theoretical model emphasizing eclectic social work practices and therapeutic orientations. As teacher, consultant and encourager, I will help my supervisees recognize blind spots, unconscious assumptions, and other issues that come up in the supervisee’s practice. Supervisees will be assisted to create attainable goals and find evidence-based solutions for problems. Supervisees will critically examine the role of culture, gender, sexual orientation in the therapeutic relationship. Attention to trauma informed formed care will be encouraged for all practice settings.
