I do Marriage Counseling and counsel individual adults, couples, and adolescents (Teenagers 14 to 19 yrs.), to help recover their true selves through effective therapy. I have helped victims of domestic violence, caregiver issues for clients with aging parents, anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) clients with Career Issues.

I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained, and use this technique to help people work through trauma of all kinds, defeating patterns and ways of looking at life and overcoming phobias. I have had good results working on fear of driving, flying, bugs, etc. EMDR can also be used to improve skills and achieve goals. I also have training in “Internal Family Systems” which is a way of working with our own internal parts or voices. How sometimes you know how you know what makes sense to do but there is a part of you that won't let you or drags you down? There is a way to work effectively with that part, and change it! My approach is based upon the belief that we are all born with a full range of possibilities & strengths, but along the way various events, injuries and hurts have accumulated.

We have formed patterns or responses that served us in the past, but now in, the present, hold us back or keep us stuck. I will help you to identify the connection between current experiences, old injuries and to release yourself from the old patterned response. In couples counseling and marriage counseling these old feeling patterns may interfere with closeness and communication. My counseling Methods draw on: Gestalt, object relations, EMDR (a powerful tool that can resolve trauma, phobias & anxiety & significantly shorten therapy), Internal Family Systems, and “Brainspotting” (a technique to enhance the way the brain functions so that you can enjoy improved mental clarity, performance, relaxation, meditation, studying, and creativity).
