Practice Overview:

As a couple and family therapist I believe our connections to others is vital to our wellbeing as human beings. I use a collaborative approach and believe therapy is the perfect platform to strengthen relationships to promote lasting positive changes. I use a holistic perspective to understand a person fully and promotes positive changes in a person's overall health and wellness during the course of therapy. We zoom the lens out to understand how a person is functioning socially, physically, emotionally, mentally, and others. We encourage positive relationships, movement, getting into nature, nutrition, and many other areas of self-care to promote healthfulness and vitality. When we are feeling our best, feeling loved, valued, and cared for in our lives there is nothing we cannot do!

Supervisory Approach:

My supervision approach is similar to the way I practice therapy: collaborative, strength based, and experientially focused. Developing goals helps guide the supervision process and helps me understand what you are looking for and to support your achievement of those goals. We will discuss how our contextual and sociocultural factors influence our work as therapists, the supervisory relationship, how we relate, and relationship with our clients. Awareness about these factors enables us to provide respectful and compassionate care. Supervision is immensely valuable to your development as a therapist. Supervisees are to follow professional, ethical, and legal standards within our field. Feedback is given to aid development and important to enhance your supervision experience.
