One of my main areas of focus as a counselor is to help people develop a more mindful approach to life. I enjoy facilitating a process where clients enhance their self-awareness and begin to have a more effective relationship with their thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the world around them. I have been working successfully with clients in this way for the majority of my career and have advanced training in modalities including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and MBCT (MIndfulness-based Cognitive Therapy).

My counseling style is more solution-oriented, rather than problem-focued. I believe clients enjoy working with me, in part, because I help direct them out of dwelling on problems and the past and into solutions, goals, and values-guided actions.
