No one seeks therapy for the same reason. I do not know your story or why you are seeking, but I know it is not easy. Should you choose to work with me, my hope for you in our work together would be that you would find freedom from whatever binds you--whatever keeps you from joy, from peace, from living as fully as you have within you to live. I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in Seattle. As an intern, I worked for Pathways Counseling, YWCA with women and adolescent girls. I now work primarily with adult-aged women in private practice. My areas of focus are depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, disordered eating, self-esteem, identity development, and body image. I also work with recovery from physical, emotional, and sexual abuse trauma, stress management, transitions, grief and loss, and career counseling. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, reading, and time with friends and family. My approach is relational psychotherapy, informed by attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. This means I believe your relationships, your relational life experiences, and how you think about yourself and others will help me understand you, and will help us move toward what you are seeking. It is important that you work with a therapist who is a good fit for you. If you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact me by email. I have limited evening availability.
