I have been a licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice for over 10 years. I have worked with a variety of clients individually, in couples and with families; including but not limited to those diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD,) depression, Anxiety, Trauma, sexual and physical abuse cases, personality disorders and domestic violence cases as well as a variety of other issues. I have two Master’s degrees (Psychology and Counseling Psychology). I am EMDR trained.  I have worked with interns and supervised LMHCA's for the past 3 years.  I use an eclectic approach based on the goals, needs and the unique backgrounds of each person.  Mostly, I use more of a Psychodynamic and family systems approach.

You made it through the classes and exams.  Now its time to put all the theory and material you learned into practice.  Being in the room with clients, holding the space and building that therapeutic alliance can feel quite different than what you may have imagined.  It is a priviledge and considerable responsibility.  I look forward to not only doing case consultation and supervision but to assist you in developing into a confidenant, effective counselor with a strong foundation.  We will work together as much or as little as you need.
