Wyatt Okeefe

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

I provide online counseling sessions using Doxy.me, Zoom, SimplePractice.com. Telephone sessions also available.

I recognize being a nonconformist in any way, comes with challenges. As a a transmasc person I understand first hand the things we too commonly encounter. The current political climate is not welcoming to those of us in the LGBTQIA community and I am available to provide support and help you learn the skills needed to not only endure but to thrive through the negativity of homophobia and transphobia being legislated in various state governments.  Despite the challenges, I recognize the power and beauty inherent in us all. When we fully embrace and embody our most authentic selves we find freedom from the hatred, fear and expectations of others. Being on my own similar journey, I believe I am uniquely equipped to help you thrive while negotiating all life's many changes and challenges.

As a transmasc person and long time member of the LGBTQ+ community I offer understanding of the issues unique to us and offer support without the need to explain experiences we commonly face.  I offer a safe place to explore yourself and integrate your lived experiences with your desired outcomes to create your future and nurture your whole-self.

It is my main focus and passion to work within my own community to make it stronger and healthier.  I work with those seeking support for coming out, adult living, transitioning socially and or physically, who also may have other mental health needs such as anxiety or depression.

I offer compassionate, supportive individual therapy for adults from the perspective of a fellow traveler on this journey to wholeness.  I have been an activist and advocate throughout my career, My hope is to make the world a safer, kinder place for the LGBTQ+ community through providing caring advocacy and support to all my clients as they navigate life's changes.

I use a person centered approach with an existentialist leaning as I believe we as humans strive to find meaning in our lives in everything we do and in every interaction we have. We need meaningful relationships, work and social activities in order to be healthy and when we don’t have meaning we become unhappy, overwhelmed, depressed or addicted. In addition to my existentialist toolkit, I have many other therapeutic tools I can use to help clients achieve their mental health goals.

I have weekend and evening hours available. My approach is person centered. I meet my clients where they are and collaborate to meet the goals we set together.

I use SimplePractice.com for my online practice platform. Clients can schedule and pay for services online. I accept all major credit cards, Venmo and PayPal.
