My approach to supervision is to ensure we address all areas of clinical practice: ethics, risk management, client notes, counseling theories, and techniques. I assist the associate in finding resources for their clients and themselves through books, websites, and continuing education classes. I have a special love for associates working in a private practice setting or pursuing private practice because we can cover the many areas of business that are excluded from most Master level degree programs. Such as: marketing, insurance credentialing, billing, and liabilities. Self-care is as equally important as client care and business. All of the counseling expertise and experience is insignificant if we are not first taking care of ourselves so that we can best help others.
