I work with individuals, couples, and families with adult children. My work is informed by post modern, solution and emotion focused models. In addition, for the last ten years I have been studying attachment and developmental trauma which is the major emphasis of my current work. I utilize an integrative model, meaning that I specifically choose the theoretical orientation that best serves the needs of the client. My training as a supervisor has met the rigorous standards of AAMFT which means that I have taken additional courses, worked with a supervisor for two years, and reviewed relevant research on supervision in addition to meeting the state requirements.

I have been providing individual and dual supervision for LMFTAs and LMHCAs since 2006. I believe one of the most important aspects of providing effective supervision lies in maintaining a healthy working relationship with each supervisee. This is done with the use of empathy, support, transparency, humor, and acknowledgement of competencies. I strive to create a working relationship that is free from judgement and conveys openness. A working relationship that when needed offers direction and this direction is based on experience and education. I believe it is important that supervisees can risk self disclosure in order to get the most out of their supervision experience.
