The majority of my practice has been in community mental health, including several years as a Designated Mental Health Professional (DMHP). I have experience in a variety of practice settings and with all types of clients, from adjustment disorders to chronic and debilitating mental illness. I also have experience in clinical supervision and program administration.

The goals of supervision are twofold: To provide you with a valuable experience toward a successful counseling career; and to meet any legal requirements that regulate your practice. I ask that you be prepared for the supervision session, provide me with thorough information about your practice and individual clients, and actively participate in the process. In turn, you can expect from me an honest and objective assessment of your work and constructive suggestions for improvement and enhancement of your clinical skills, if needed. I currently supervise three associates, but have successfully completed supervision with five former associates who are now fully licensed.
