Bob Viola

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

I have experience and enjoy working with clients of various cultures who are seeking help in working through life challenges around anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship conflicts, past trauma, self esteem, grief, psychosis, and substance abuse. If you are currently struggling with any of these problems and are not sure how to address them, I can help. Together we can work to explore the issues that are getting in the way of a more happy and productive lifestyle in an environment that is safe, comfortable, and conducive to achieving your goals for counseling. I work with adults, adolescents and families using therapeutic interventions that draw from the practice of Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while coming from a client centered, recovery based approach.

I have been working with primarily with individual adults and adolescents for 13 years around problems dealing with anxiety and anxiety related disorders. My approach is to help you explore the sources of these issues and to consider new ways of managing them. My clients have typically found this process to be valuable and reassuring to their emotional well being. Along the way, clients have gained clarity, improved self esteem, and confidence that they can manage their symptoms more effectively. This inevitably leads to a renewed belief that they can better handle whatever future life challenges may come their way.
