Workshop Description: "Nurturing the Intuitive" The purpose of this experiential workshop is to give the clinician basic skills in facilitating work with dreams, recognize when it is appropriate, and experience dream work with a group of professional peers. Through a structured process, we will explore our own dream stories, and participants will consider shared meaning in their metaphors and implications they may hold for waking life. Theoretical credit goes to Alfred Adler, Karen Horney and Fritz Perls, all of whom emphasized the importance of the practical application of dreams. Especially effective in work with: • depression • creative problem-resolution

Janette has developed classes and in-service trainings for government and businesses, colleges, universities, and private interest groups. She was trained, in a professional internship with family therapist Dr. Ramone Corrales from 1976 to 1978 & licensed (CA) in 1979; as a sole proprietor, Janette offered Evidence Based family therapy (Seattle - King County). and has supervised master’s psychology interns at Pepperdine University and for Pioneer Services in Seattle. She was named in Who’s Who for contribution to the field of Counseling & Education & currently affiliates with the American Counseling Association's branch for family therapists, an international affiliate. Experience: Dream Process in Clinical Work Weekly & Monthly Dream Group Facilitator - since 1985 . Workshop Designer & Developer - "Nurturing the Intuitive" 1) Annual 2.5 day Workshop for the general public - since 1986 2) A professionals-only 2.5 day workshop that gives an opportunity for participants to explore their own metaphors.
