About me

Hello! I'm Allie and I like to think of myself as a change agent. I help people identify the change they want to see in their lives and help them lay down the path to manifesting that change. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from Western Oregon University and an MSW at Portland State University. I am licensed (LICSW) in Washington State and I have experience working as a Primary Mental Health Therapist/Counselor, Hospice Social Worker, Addictions Counselor, and Life Coach.

I have helped clients successfully work through their concerns about a wide variety of topics and I specialize in helping people who want to have a great life but need to resolve sticking points that are keeping them from fully experiencing joy. People have come to me for help with depression, anxiety, trauma, teen counseling, couples counseling, addictions, codependency, LBGT+, gender identity, career and financial situations, parenting, aging, and grief.

I have unconditional positive regard for everyone. My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and engaging. I believe that anyone can live a life that is satisfying and enjoyable. I believe the law of attraction is as real as the law of gravity, so everything I do begins with the foundation that feeling good is the most direct path to reaching any goal.

My counseling approach includes evidence-based, proven counseling modalities such as Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based Counseling. Each client has unique personal needs and preferences so I work with each to develop tailored counseling plans for successful outcomes.

For my professional development, I attend regular continuing education to stay abreast with best practices and fresh ideas. I practice what I preach and take my self-care seriously. I become better professionally and personally with every new experience and every new person I have the honor of connecting with.

I am so happy that you are here! I am looking forward to meeting you! ~ Allie ????
