About me

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington with 7 years of professional work experience here in Seattle. I work full-time for a community behavioral health agency as a clinician and clinical supervisor, therefore my availability falls primarily on Tuesdays and weekends. However, if you would like to work me at alternative times moving forward, please discuss this with me in a message or session and I can make alternative scheduling arrangements for you. I also only respond to messages on this platform once a day M-F.

I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, depression, self-doubt, social isolation, relationship issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Brian Soames. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I find Brian to be a good listener, sympathetic, understanding, and insightful. We are still mainly in discussion phase, as opposed to his giving me "assignments," but I feel that what advice he has given has been helpful and he has been good about helping me to clarify and expand on my thoughts.
