About me

I'm Dannesse (pronounced Dan-niece). I'm a mindfulness-based psychotherapist passionate about mental health advocacy and healing wounds of intergenerational trauma. I assist individuals from all walks of life in supporting positive change, emotional growth, achieving their goals, and stepping into their most authentic selves.

My approach to therapy is holistic mental wellness practices rooted in mindfulness-informed approaches to mental health. I value traditional and non-traditional healing and therapy methods to address stress, anxiety, and life stressors experienced in marginalized and culturally diverse populations.

The therapeutic relationship is a partnership, and I'm committed to creating a healing environment rooted in radical transparency that encourages reflection and self-compassion. The work we do together is grounded in your lived experience and connected to your motivations, values, and goals. I look forward to helping you as you begin your purposeful therapeutic journey.

As a member and ally of the BIPOC, Latinx, and LGBTQIA+ community, I create a space of inclusivity and equity. I work from an anti-racist, non-pathologizing, relational-cultural, feminist, and trauma-informed lens.

It's a priority for you to feel seen, heard, and encouraged in our sessions. I firmly believe that it takes courage to seek support, and I have great respect for you for deciding to prioritize your wellbeing.

When I'm not in sessions, you can find me reading and listening to podcasts on various topics, such as mental wellness within the BIPOC community, intuitive astrology, spirituality, feminism, and mysticism. I could also be practice yoga, cuddle with my dog, connect consciously through meditation, and spend time with friends and family!

Kind, attentive, and very supportive on knowledgeable on many of the issues I face and there’s no judgement when she talks to me so I truly feel like it’s a safe space.

Dannesse is honestly down to earth, understanding, and extremely professional. I highly recommend her as a counselor/therapist and will gladly continue to have her as someone to talk to until I feel better about myself.
