About me

When burdens become heavy, and life is painful, it may be difficult to reach out for help. Let's pause and acknowledge that you have taken a first step on your path to healing. Looking for a therapist may feel overwhelming, but it will be worth your effort. I have maintained a private practice of over 15 years. During that time, I have gathered experience, skills, and sought mentors to obtain and maintain competence in my field. When you choose me as your therapist you will notice that I take a direct approach to life's problems. Whether it is individual struggles and growth, relational, or family issues, we will work together in a supportive environment to find the solutions that work for you. If you wish to weave your spiritual faith into your therapy I am very happy to accommodate. Whether you desire just a few sessions or want to continue therapy for a longer period we will maintain a collaborative environment in which you can move beyond the pain and into a more enjoyable life.

Heather made me feel very validated in my first session with her. I went away from the session feeling like we had accomplished a lot in a short amount of time, and most of all I felt encouraged and challenged.
