About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist in Florida with over 5 years of experience working as a therapist and case manager. My passion is helping individuals with substance use disorders and other addiction issues. I also have experience and feel fulfilled working with individuals with medical health issues, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, relationship issues, body image issues, abuse career challenges and general life issues. Even if I haven't worked with someone who has your specific problem, I am very client centered, willing to learn the best way to help you and utilize dynamic approaches to treating people. I believe that therapy has to be individualized and the only thing that will work for you is what works for YOU.

I believe that my counselor style is honest and interactive. I care about my clients and want what is best for them as individuals so I seek to utilize the best approach to help you achieve your goals. I believe in an eclectic approach and utilize motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral, humanistic and solution focused approaches. I want YOU to create your goals, but I will certainly be there to guide you. I will tailor your treatment plan and my approach to meet you where you're at.

You should feel proud of yourself for taking the leap towards bettering your life with therapy! I am a real person, with real experiences, so my knowledge does not just come for a textbook, it also comes from life. Jamie is a fantastic therapist. She pushes back on my beliefs when I need her too and asks phenomenal questions to get me out of spiraling. I am so grateful that she listens without judgment as this has helped heal some attachment and abandonment wounds from childhood. I would absolutely recommend Jamie - she is an incredibly skilled therapist and I’m so grateful that I found her through BetterHelp!

Jamie is fantastic. She always responds in a timely manner, and is very positive and uplifting as well as very open and upfront with you. One thing I’ve noticed as when you make excuses for things, she somehow gets you to acknowledge that those are excuses. This is exactly what I needed from a therapist.

She helped me figure out how to even begin therapy. We set goals, talk about techniques, and she helps me stay focused. There are so many things she’s helped me begin and I am happy we will continue forward together.
