About me

Hello! My name is Jennifer, and I am a licensed mental health counselor who holds a license to practice in Washington State. I have 6+ years of direct client experience as a mental health counselor. My education consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling, and I am currently working on completing a Ph.D. in Clinical Education and Supervision. I have worked with a variety of clients with a wide range of concerns. These concerns include- depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, parenting problems, identity development, self-esteem, OCD, personality disorders, lifestyle changes, ADHD, anger, and bipolar I/II disorder. I also have experience with helping clients with past or current trauma and emotional and/or physical abuse.

My counseling style is supportive, warm, and interactive. I am a firm believer in treating everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion. My personality is genuine, open-minded, and empathic, which aligns with my counseling style. I do not label, stigmatize, or stereotype any person. In my work, I use a variety of counseling approaches that I tailor to fit each individual client’s needs and goals. My approaches include- cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, rational-emotive, mindfulness, humanistic, solution-focused, and psychodynamic. I also utilize psychoeducation and coping skills to grow insight and self-awareness as well as reduce symptoms.

It takes courage, strength, and self-determination to initiate change for a happier, healthier, and more satisfied you. When you are ready to begin your journey, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to meeting you!
