About me

***I am only taking on new LiveChat clients through BetterHelp at this time. **

Hello, my name is Kay!

Choosing to prioritize your mental health is a courageous and loving act. As a clinician, I see my main goals as helping clients navigate life's difficulties, offering compassionate and direct support, and encouraging self-empowerment. Background-wise, I am a clinical social worker licensed in Washington state with eight years of experience as a clinician. I have been trained in heart-centered hypnotherapy and also lean on tools from dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and motivational interviewing. I enjoy focusing on what is happening in our bodies, and how tuning in can show us about our experiences, needs, wants, and what is calling to us to be healed.

Clients I've worked with in the past come to me to process their trauma, grief, identity, spirituality, health, purpose, and recovery. I've worked with folks who are caregivers, chronically or terminally ill. I've worked with folks who are processing their gender and sexuality. I am queer, femme, and nonbinary and have often worked with LGBTQIA2S+ folks. I've worked with folks in recovery from process addiction, childhood abuse, abandonment, or neglect, and codependency. I've worked with folks who are grappling with spirituality, and want to find meaning in life or their place in community. I've worked with folks who struggle with anxiety, depression, C-PTSD, and OCD.

I have facilitated creative writing groups, and am well versed in the Artist's Way. In other words, am able to incorporate art and creativity into our work together. I am also an avid gardener, with experience in organic farming and herbalism. A passion of mine is to get out into nature, and I love helping others connect with the world in whatever way intuition leads them.

I look forward to meeting with you.
