About me

I am a licensed psychologist. My training has been in a broad range of approaches including interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and trauma. I focus on your goals and prefer collaborative therapy. This encourages you to be an active participant in your own growth. Therapy often leads to a significant reduction of feelings of distress, better relationships, and improved problem solving. Throughout my experiences, I have begun to focus on childhood and trauma experiences that have significantly impacted our life.
I received a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota. As part of my doctoral degree, I completed a one-year pre-doctoral internship at Ft Meade VA. Following that, I completed a year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology Children’s Hospital in Rapid City SD. I have been licensed as a Psychologist in Washington, New Mexico, and South Dakota. I do have those license numbers available upon request.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Kaylee Trottier. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

She's there to support me in my day-to-day growth and personal development, and also there in a crisis to make sure I get the care I need. I never feel nervous or ashamed of how I'm feeling and I'm always comfortable talking about what's going on. With how much trouble finding a good fit can be in terms of providers, I'm happy I was matched with her so quickly and easily.

I haven't had therapy in a while, but recently I finally reached a point where I needed to seek out help. Dr. Trottier was immediately empathetic, soft spoken and determined to help. She offered a gentle hand and her suggestions for improving the way i approach my feelings are realistic goals!

The reading material I've been given so far has been great. I'm only two sessions in, and I hope to continue learning ways to live with my trauma/emotional responses to hard life events. Thank you so much!

Dr. Trottier has been extremely helpful in identifying issues I didn’t even know I was struggling with and giving me healthy ways to deal with them. Because of her techniques my self esteem is drastically increasing. She is helping me become a better person. I’d highly recommend her to anyone who needs an amazing therapist.

I was very nervous to start counseling. Dr. Trottier is easy to talk to and she hears what I am saying. She is positive and not pushy. I feel supported and encouraged when I’ve talked with her.
