Hello, my name is Dr. Macie Stead and I am here to help. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Spokane, Washington. I have spent my life working to help others and would love an opportunity to be of service to you as well. I can provide support, knowledge, and guidance to help you get back on track; as well as discover what wellness and happiness means for you. People who come to me for counseling can expect individualized care with a focus on holistic wellness, using strengths, and overcoming challenges.

My approach is effective for people new to therapy and for those who have found counseling a challenge in the past. I will hold the hope for positive lasting change as I work hard alongside you. We will identify underlying causes, current impact, set future goals, and ultimately provide you the tools and support to be successful. I have specialty experience with anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) using accelerated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques (CBT) with integrated exposure. I'm intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) evidence-based practices. I also provide counseling on relationships/marital issues using Gottman therapy techniques, a highly researched and effective therapeutic treatment.

Reach out today, we can explore your goals in counseling and how I can help. I would love an opportunity to meet and introduce myself.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Macie Stead. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. Stead is knowledgeable, compassionate, and responsive. She focuses on my goals and helping me to reach them, while also providing support during unexpected crises. I noticed improvements in my ability to handle problems, anxieties, and relationships after only a few weeks of therapy with her.

Dr. Stead was very helpful for me in a transitional time of life. As new challenges arose, she was understanding and reassuring, while challenging some of the ways I made decisions and things I believed. My thinking patterns have improved, and the ways that I interact with friends and family have changed for the better with healthy boundaries put in place, I now get the respect I wanted. I recommend her to anyone going through a transition, she is communicative, compassionate, and well equipped to help you navigate new waters.

Dr. Stead is knowledgeable and has many resources to share. I enjoyed talking with her, and she very much helped me untangle the knots in my mind. She also has so many tools for every problem I brought to her, whether it be personal or professional.

Dr. Stead is a great listener and always responds quick. I feel like even though I’m all over the place and I don’t always know what’s wrong with me. I can always count on her to help clear my thoughts and help me.
