About me

Hello. My name is Sharon and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Washington. I have trained on both coasts and have been working for over 25 years as a counselor, life coach, mediator, and trainer. I have worked with people on a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, career challenges, relationships of all kinds, trauma and abuse, communication, stress management, anger issues, grief, addiction, military trauma and life transitions.

I believe in the inherent strengths of every person and in my practice, I help people to see what is possible and to move their life in the direction they choose. My approach combines psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, among others.

I appreciate that it takes courage to seek change and to know when you are ready.

Sharon has been kind and responsive thus far. I’m confident she knows what she’s doing at all times. I felt a lot better after my first live session. It was amazing.

It’s been a long time since I’ve gone to counseling and Sharon is as a perfect match for that. Gentle, understanding, supportive. It felt like she could see through all of the mess I was in, and saw who I was and who I could be.
Her practice is informative and encouraging and concise, connecting why I felt the things I did, to the things I experienced logically and still empathetically.
Really appreciating what she’s doing for me.

Sharon is a great counselor. Always understanding and empathetic. I personally was a bit of a skeptic of traditional counseling, but Sharon actually changed my mind. She helped my skepticism by providing research backed and well thought out techniques for improving my well being and relationships. Best counselor I’ve had so far, in person or online!
