Position/Job Description:

The Position: Adapt Addictions Treatment is interviewing for full time Adult Substance Abuse Counselors. Job Description: Counselors use multiple evidence-based practices to assist clients in the refining of strategies to identify and intervene in unwanted and damaging behaviors, while assisting patients in the development of more productive ones. This is done through monitoring patient progress, working collaboratively with the patient and their families to develop recovery supports, and coordinating with local mental health, primary care, or legal services necessary to enhance a patient's recovery and reintegration post-completion of outpatient treatment. You should have understanding about the needs of chemically dependent people in general but more specifically, those in treatment.

 

Qualification Requirements:

Clinician Expectations: Facilitate IOP/OP groups consistent with ASAM Levels of Care Conduct individual sessions with clients as indicated by Oregon OARS Collaboratively develop, implement, and execute treatment plans consistent with client goals and legal obligations of the client (i.e. probation, CWP, etc.) Coordinate services with outpatient mental health and primary care providers Adhere to and utilize the evidenced-based practices as endorsed by the State of Oregon and ACCBO Assure intakes, assessments, and clinical documentation reflect the client's participation in treatment, as well as progress therein Required Experience: CADC license or higher with equivalent educational experience Experience in A/D counseling A minimum of one year experience working as a CADC or an equally credentialed chemical dependency professional Skills and experience in community relations and group presentation Prior experience in dealing effectively with courts, corrective departments, and other agencies and referral sources Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in human services, social work, psychology, or equivalent behavioral health field +2 years working experience in the field addiction services Background knowledge of mental illness and comorbidity Advanced certifications and licenses will reflect in starting salary Position Benefits: The successful applicant will receive a generous signing bonus and be eligible for relocation expenditures.
