The client's wishes for help and change are my goals. Whether it is anxiety, depression, children, family issues or trauma I will help. I am the founder of Counseling West Seattle and have counselors working with me. I have been practicing since 1995 after working for ten years at Group Health. Prior to my mental health career, I was an elementary school teacher and I put my education and experience together to offer superb services to children and adolescents, one of my specialty areas. Another specialty area is knowledge of domestic and sexual violence and divorce in families. We offer counseling services for all populations including individuals, couples, and families.We serve anyone regardless of age, race, religion or sexual orientation. My main therapy modality is client centered, listening carefully to what the client wants, and we work toward solutions for the areas presented. While I have the knowledge, skills and expertise, my psychotherapy approach is collaborative, meeting the clients where they are, to provide treatment for solutions and transformation. I work with you to provide a treatment plan that client and provider agree upon.

Children and Adolescents: My elementary school teacher experience and education allow me to offer superb services to children and adolescents, one of my specialty areas. In addition, I am a Guardian Ad Litem for the King County Court System and offer Therapeutic Supervised Visits or Reunification Therapy. I have knowledge of working with families of divorce and the legal system. I am a Guardian ad Litem with King County and have knowledge of the legal system with divorce. In addition I offer Reunification Counseling for families where a separation between a parent and child has happened.
