The Youth Residential Mental Health Therapist assists young people in identifying healthy, sustainable use strategies while addressing physical, emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns using a strengths-based, client-centered, family systems recovery model. In this clinical position, you will: • Conduct a biopsychosocial diagnostic assessment (records review, collateral interview, MSE, digital history, and integrated summary) upon enrollment • Focus on client strengths over the course of treatment • Consider transition planning at the beginning of care • Develop a client centered service plan with regular updates • Manage a caseload of 1-8 youth • Coordinate care with academic and interdisciplinary team • Provide crisis intervention and behavior management support • Share psycho-educational training materials using a variety of experiential strategies • Lead individual and group therapy sessions • Communicate weekly with family members and referral sources • Involve fellow team members in collaborative care, and service planning • Foster team collaboration in transition planning • Complete discharge summaries and provide to outside transition team • Feel challenged, laugh often, shed a tear, and change lives What you'll enjoy about working with us: • Meaningful work. What we'll enjoy seeing in you: • Education. You have a master's degree in a social services field. (e.g., Marriage and family therapy (MFT, LMFT); Social work (MSW, LCSW); Clinical mental health counseling (LPC, LCMHC); or a related discipline. • Licensure. You are licensed in the state of Washington, or you are actively working towards obtaining clinical licensure. • Youth Connection. You have 1 year (2,080 hours) of experience working with youth under the age of 18. • Invested. You’re interested in a long-term relationship with reSTART. • Cleared. You’re 21 years of age, and able to pass a Washington State background check. • Dependable. You care, you show up, you are dependable and relatable. • Technical. You are comfortable using a computer for chart notes, looking up policies and procedures, creating schedules, using cloud-based systems, and responding to emails in a timely manner. • Always a Plus. You have experience working in a residential setting, therapeutic boarding school, wilderness program, or similar agency leading individual, family and group sessions.
