Welcome. I am so glad you are taking steps to care for yourself. I am a Lic. Mental Health provider in both Washington State and Texas and work with clients from 16years old through adulthood. Whether you are looking for support during a stressful time in your life or healing from unresolved trauma we will work collaboratively to create in you a solid emotional foundation. I believe we all have the answers we need to let go and move on with life. We will work together to explore the sources of your discomfort and find ways specific to you to release the impasses that have held you back from being your authentic self.
We will gently address your needs to become more self-empowered and confidently advocate for yourself taking charge of your emotional health. Learning these self-care skills is energizing and initiates a process of self-acceptance and personal transformation.
My approach to counseling is client specific. We will work creatively using both traditional therapy such as a Cognitive approach and techniques including relaxation, mindfulness and guided meditation. In addition, I am trained in the practice of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
