Qualifications:
Licensed in Psychotherapy services for Adults
The UW-VMC Psychiatry and Counseling Clinic, which is part of the Valley Medical Center Clinic Network, has been in existence for 25 years. We currently have 10 psychiatrists and 9 psychotherapists who provide medication management and psychotherapy services to adults 18 years old and older. The patients we see have commercial insurance and many are self-referred. They must meet a list of criteria to be appropriate for our clinic. For example, we don’t see patients that are court-ordered, have had more than 2 psychiatric hospitalizations in the last 2 years, and/or have an alcohol or drug addiction as their primary diagnosis. In many ways we are like a private practice with the added benefits of being in a social, collaborative, and supportive environment with other mental health professionals. Our clinic is open Monday through Friday with the latest counseling session being scheduled at 5:00pm.
Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.
