Using clinically evidenced-based interventions, I have worked with 100’s of clients since 2012. I have supervised numerous staff since 2015. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Children’s Mental Health Specialist and Chemical Dependency Professional who is passionate about providing holistic care. I have had the opportunity to counsel all ages from pre-adolescent to adulthood. My theoretical foundations are person-centered, strength-based, psycho-dynamic, family systems, cognitive therapy, and solution-focused. I provide individual, family, couple and group therapy.I have experience as a therapist and supervisor providing care at multiple levels of care, which include outpatient counseling, residential inpatient, acute care inpatient, and outreach in the community and school based counseling. Through that process, I had extensive experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, and co-occurring.
In supervising, I assist clinicians to identify their strengths as well as their personal theories. I utilize a multitude of theories and think it serves clients well to utilize various modalities to best support the clinician. During the supervisory sessions, I like to assist clinicians to discover different approaches. Supervision has the opportunity to develop professional skills, practices, and good client care. My role as a clinical supervisor includes being a teacher, mentor, evaluator, consultant, and support. It is important to develop a supervisory alliance to promote trust, self-efficacy, increased comfort, self-motivation, greater self-knowledge through recognizing internal changes.
