My name is Kara Rice, I have enjoyed a career in clinical social work, working in various settings with diverse populations. From nonprofit work to state government, then finally finding my passion providing mental health intervention to patients in multiple emergency departments throughout the South Sound.  But it wasn't until I joined Kaiser Permanente (formerly Group Health) in 2014 that I found my "home".  I am passionate about integrated health care, where health care and mental health are integrated as one.  I am experienced in direct patient care, clinical consultation, supervision and management. I excel in partnering with multiple stakeholders across the health care system.  

I am interested in supervising a social worker who shares similar interests or is interested in a career path working in mental health or health care systems.  

I am interested in supervising a social worker who is interested in growing their career in mental health or health care systems.  I deeply value diversity, collaboration and exploration.  I am an enthusiastic supervisor, driven to help you achieve your career goals and ultimately sit for the licensure exam.  From 2017-2018, I provided private clinical supervision in both individual and group settings.  Now in 2023, I am interested in providing virtual individual clinical supervision.
