I have specialized in addiction work over the years.  I started out as an addictions counselor before finishing my MA and opening my work to a broader range of issues.  Addictions are difficult to work wiht in an outpatient private practice setting, the client need to have some imotivation, external or internal, to be able to make progress.  I would describe myself as coming more from a harm reduction prespective than the more traditional directive model.
