I provide online counseling sessions using Zoom.
I view therapy as a collaborative effort, where I share my expertise to help clients gain more insight and agency in their lives. I aim to do be open minded both to a wide variety of experiences and to a client's end goal of therapy. Additionally, since the lived experiences of others will differ from my own, I use consultation with clinicians, to ensure being emotionally safe and ethical. I enjoy working with clients (all ages) that are trying to: manage anger, disappointment, depression, anxiety, creating & maintaining healthy relationships, and create affirming parenting practices.
In my practice I hope to provide a place of exploration and skill building, rather than providing an "answer." Challenges are hard by their nature and learning so many times, includes managing these challenges. My goal is to help clients gain the skills to meet these challenges.
My objective is to cultivate a supervisory environment that places a strong emphasis on the ongoing process of learning, aiding supervisees in recognizing and utilizing their strengths, and fostering confidence.
As a therapist of color, I want to be able to create a space to explore and process my identity as a person of color within the helping profession. Additionally, as a cis-gendered, able-bodied heterosexual woman, I am committed to acknowledging my position in the "center" and actively working towards providing resources that address the unique challenges faced by
